Answers Agent

The Answers Agent integration connects to Salesforce Agentforce. It adds an AI agent to a WordPress VIP site that answers visitor questions using eligible WordPress content synced to Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud).

Requirements

Before starting, confirm that the Salesforce org and WordPress VIP application meet the requirements below.

Salesforce requirements

To configure the Answers Agent integration, the Salesforce org must have:

• Enterprise or Unlimited edition.
• Data Cloud provisioned and enabled.
• Agentforce provisioned and enabled.
• Einstein Service Agent, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud licenses.
• Agentforce usage credits for the organization.
• A Salesforce user account with a System Administrator profile.

Answers Agent usage consumes Agentforce credits. Agentforce usage credits, including Flex Credits, can be purchased through a Salesforce account representative or through the Salesforce Digital Wallet.

WordPress VIP roles and permissions

Adding the integration to a Salesforce organization requires an Enhanced package or above, or Application Support for environments on legacy pricing.

To configure the Answers Agent integration on WordPress VIP, the user must have:

• Access to the organization in the VIP Dashboard.
• Permission to add integrations to the organization. This typically requires the Org admin role.
• Access to the target WordPress VIP environment.
• Permission to configure integrations for the target application. This typically requires the App write role.
• Administrator access to the WordPress Admin dashboard for the target site.

Limitations

Answers Agent requires configuration in both the VIP Dashboard and Salesforce. A Salesforce administrator must complete the Salesforce package installation, Salesforce authorization, Messaging Channel configuration, and Embedded Service Deployment configuration.

WordPress VIP asynchronously sends eligible WordPress content to Salesforce Data Cloud. A completed WordPress-side sync does not always mean the content is immediately available in Answers Agent responses, as Salesforce may need additional time to index it.

Multi-tenancy

Answers Agent supports Agentforce for multiple sites within a single VIP organization, all served by one Salesforce org. Configuration is per domain, so each environment or network site within a multisite requires its own setup. After the initial setup for the first site is complete, subsequent site setups are simpler because the sites share the same Salesforce, Data Cloud, and Agentforce foundation.

Data isolation is built in, so content from one site is never accessible to another site’s agent. Each site’s published content is stored and tagged in Data Cloud using that site’s identity, so Answers Agent is automatically scoped to the site a visitor is on.
