The release window for VIP MU plugins is currently Tuesdays between 08:00 and 22:00 UTC (09:00 and 23:00 UTC when Daylight Saving Time is in effect in North America). VIP MU plugins is open source and development can be followed in the VIP MU plugins GitHub repository.

The wp-parsely plugin makes it a snap to add the required tracking code to enable Parse.ly on your WordPress site.
This change adds the plugin to the repository, but is disabled unless intentionally enabled for your site via the wpvip_parsely_load_mu filter.

Added a constant, WPCOM_VIP_SITE_ADMIN_ONLY_MAINTENANCE, that can be used to put a site into maintenance mode without impacting the front-end. The idea being to prevent database writes(e.g.: post creation) in wp-admin from happening at an inopportune time during periods of maintenance while still allowing the site to operate normally.

This change ensures the index is correctly initialized in ElasticSearch before operations that could create a default index. Default index doesn’t have the correct mapping set and therefore could potentially cause search issues.
