# Getting help

Several resources are available to help you find answers to your questions or to
get help when you need it. The resource that will be most helpful depends on the
type of information or help you need.

## Primary contacts

**Primary contacts** are one or more individuals within your organization who are
authorized to make decisions about the organization’s applications and members.
Typically, the primary contacts for an organization are responsible for managing
user access for WordPress, GitHub, and WPVIP tools such as the VIP Dashboard and
VIP-CLI.

Primary contacts can help you if:

 * You are having trouble logging in to one of your accounts.
 * You would like the permissions for one of your accounts to be increased or decreased.

If you have access to your organization’s VIP Dashboard, you can find the names
of your primary contacts in the VIP Dashboard panel titled “People”.

## WordPress VIP documentation

WordPress VIP’s documentation is a comprehensive resource for all of the features
built into the WPVIP Platform. This resource is dedicated to answering questions
about how to use available platform features, troubleshoot issues, and to improve
the security and performance of your application.

Browse the navigation menu to find information by category, or use the search functionality
to locate the information that you need by specific keywords.

## WordPress.org

If you have questions about how to use WordPress, troubleshoot issues related to
WordPress Core, or learn how to customize WordPress functionality, WordPress.org
is a comprehensive and authoritative resource.

For more advanced topics, WordPress.org’s Developer Resources offers a wide variety
of in-depth guides for theme development, plugin development, working with the WP
REST API, creating custom blocks, and much more.

## WPVIP Support

If you have a question that cannot be answered after searching through WordPress
VIP’s documentation and WordPress.org, or if you are experiencing an issue that
you have been unable to debug or resolve, you can reach out to WPVIP’s Support team.

Communication with WPVIP Support is handled through the Zendesk ticketing system.
The amount of time it will take for a Support representative to respond to you will
depend on the priority level you assign to the request, and what type of “package”
your organization has (e.g., Standard, Enhanced, or Premier).

Your issue is also likely to be resolved faster if you can supply the WPVIP Support
team with related screenshots, links, or steps to reproduce the issue in your very
first request.
