New Release: Jetpack 14.8 # New Release: Jetpack 14.8 --- 24 June 2025 16:05:27 GMT+0000 [ VIP MU plugins [Production] ](https://docs.wpvip.com/changelog/vip-mu-plugins-production/) [ Permalink ](https://docs.wpvip.com/changelog/vip-mu-plugins-production/new-release-jetpack-14-8/) ![New Jetpack release](https://lobby-vip.files.wordpress.com/2021/05/3-v1_52018_preview- 2.png?w=960) Jetpack 14.8 has been made the default Jetpack version on the VIP Platform. ## What is being added or changed? ### Enhancements * Add archives endpoint support. * AI Assistant: Add support for file upload field on Forms extension. * Forms: Improve the error validation animation. * Forms: Add "undo" to all post-action alerts in Inbox. * Forms: Add Akismet refresh status button. * Forms: Add MailPoet integrations nudge. * Forms: Make emails clickable in Inbox. * Forms: Make it possible to preview file by visiting the URL. * Forms: Release new file uploads field. * Forms: Show central integrations dashboard. * Forms: Stop translate product name in the sidebar. * Forms: Use interactivity API for form validation. * My Jetpack: Update Stats card to include a chart for better analytics. * Sharing: Add ability to count sharing events on sharing buttons blocks. * Sharing: Improve the performance of Open Graph Meta Image tags. * Write Brief: Enhance local custom dictionary with more known terms. * Write Brief: Enhance typo detection dictionary. ### Improved compatibility * Search: Replace the Core Search widget instead of adding a new widget to the main sidebar in classic themes. * Tiled Gallery: Ensure accessibility properties are added only when needed, as well as preventing block validation errors. ### Bug fixes * Connection: Redirect to the proper place when clicking the block "Connect" banner on Multisites. * Display Critical CSS status correctly on the WordPress.com Complete plan. * Endpoints: Prevent warnings in logs when attempting to add external media from some sources. * Flickr shortcode: Prevent errors in logs when requested data does not exist. * Forms: Fix an error with poorly-formatted POST data. * Forms: Fix dropdown field background color on Windows. * Forms: Hide legacy Feedback menu from newly-connected sites. * Forms: Remove the broken step transformation. * Jetpack Media Library: Prevent PHP warnings related to unexpected array offsets and undefined array keys in some cases. * JITM: Fix ineffective caching due to expired plugin sync transient. * Likes: Do not register the Like block when a site is not connected to WordPress. com. * Newsletter: Ensure subscriber stats links are correct in the dashboard widget, even when you do not use Stats feature. * Prevent JavaScript errors when using the editor. * Prevent non-string currentday parameters from causing errors in infinite scroll AJAX requests. * Recipe shortcode: Prevent errors in logs due to checking for theme color properties that may not exist. * Security: Prevent errors with array-type parameters in carousel comment submissions. * Settings: Show Backup and Account Protection modules only with relevant search terms. * Slideshow block: Reduce layout shifts during page load. * Social Previews: Prevent text overflow issues with Mastodon. * Update `Jetpack_Newsletter_Dashboard_Widget` to not be added with an anonymous function.
